Description
De Toren Délicate is a fresh, light-styled red blend led by Malbec. It is made to be served slightly chilled, so you get the charm of a red with the easy drinkability of a white. The production is small, and it is a favourite on fine-dining wine lists.
Tasting Notes
Expect ripe strawberries and rose petals with a gentle hint of cinnamon. The wine is medium-bodied and silky, with juicy red fruit, soft velvety tannins and a fresh, elegant finish.
Blend & Maturation
The blend is 49% Malbec, 20% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Malbec is made in stainless steel to keep the fruit fresh, while the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon spend 12 months in third-fill French oak.
Serving
Serve slightly chilled at 11–13°C, and decant beforehand if you have time. It is lovely on its own as an apéritif, or with tapas, charcuterie, cheese boards and summer salads. Drink it young.
