Our Story

Vineyard Vault was founded in Cape Town in 2025 with a simple idea: South Africa produces some of the world's most exciting wine and spirits, and finding the good bottles shouldn't mean wading through an endless, unsorted catalogue.

We curate rather than stock everything. Every wine, whisky, brandy and spirit on Vineyard Vault is chosen for what it says about where it comes from — the estate, the producer, the region — so that browsing feels less like a warehouse shelf and more like a conversation with someone who actually knows the bottle.

What we care about

• Provenance. We favour producers with a clear sense of place, from Stellenbosch and Swartland estates to small-batch Cape whisky and brandy houses.
• Curation over volume. Fewer, better bottles beat an overwhelming catalogue. Every product page is written to help you choose with confidence, not guesswork.
• Doing right by South African drinks. We want Vineyard Vault to be a showcase for the country's producers, old and new, well-known and under-the-radar.
