Raats Vlag Vineyard Selection Polkadraai Hills Cabernet Franc 2023 comes from two carefully selected vineyards planted and nurtured on Vlaeberg Mountain, the highest point in Polkadraai Hills. Named after the coloured flags once raised by early farmers to signal produce for ships in Table Bay, Vlag is a modern expression of Cabernet Franc. The wine is divided into thirds during maturation: concrete tank, 300-litre French oak barrels, and 2500-litre French oak foudre for 16 months before blending.
