Raats Eden High Density Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc 2023 is made from 100% Chenin Blanc in Stellenbosch, shaped by the soil-driven style that defines Raats Family Wines. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation after an extended cold soak, with 20% whole bunch and very subtle extraction. It is basket pressed to new French oak for 10 months before resting in neutral French oak for a further 8 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

The nose shows lime, green apple, white peach, and pineapple, woven with ginger, angelica, white pepper, peach blossom, and honeysuckle. The palate adds quince, kumquat, mandarin orange, pear, roasted hazelnut, almond, and steely mineral tension, finishing fresh and textured with fennel and ginger spice.
