It opens with cedar and a hint of pencil shavings, then ripe blackberry, plum and cherry, with violets, black pepper, clove and a touch of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and vibrant, with dark fruit, spice and minerality held together by tightly knit, silky tannins.
