After 10 months on wood (20% new wood, 45% second fill, 35% third and fourth fill), the wine was prepared for bottling. Bottling date was 29th January 2019.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Brave Heart Pinot Noir proudly introduces itself with a bright ruby red colour enticing you to explore it further. Fresh primary fruits, wafts of ripe red cherries and strawberries with a hint of bayleaf on the nose follow through onto a fruit driven palate. The wine received a light filtration before bottling on 3rd August 2022.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p\"\u003eThe alluring bright colour immediately invites one to explore this wine further. Red currants, black currants, raspberries, sundried tomatoes, violets and cracked black peppercorns all contribute to a vibrant nose. Merlot drivenand power packed with fresh fruits encompassing both the red and black fruit spectrums, with a savoury core. Rich and opulent, yet bright and feminine, this little “cracker” is the perfect example of how the whole sum is better than the parts and of how the individual components support and enhance one another. We recommend the Crackerjack as the perfect accompaniment to your Sunday roast lamb, lasagna and tomato based stews. Jake is sadly no longer with us but two black labs, Angus and Becky, continue the legacy. The wine spent approximately 22 months in wood with a 20% new wood component. 24% was matured in a concrete egg, contributing towards the fruit driven profile and adding yet another building block to the final compilation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eMuch like the dog the wine is dark in colour, well-muscled intense and full of character.
